Wearing them
Will I still hear my alarm?
Yes. These reduce noise, they do not remove it. A phone alarm beside the bed still wakes you, which is exactly how it should be. If you already sleep through alarms, use vibration as well.
Will they stay in if I sleep on my side?
That is what the shape is for. They sit flush rather than sticking out, so a pillow presses against the ear and not against the plug.
Will they hurt after a full night?
They should not. If they do, the tip size is wrong. Try the next size down, and if it still is not right, send them back within 30 nights.
Are they safe to wear every night?
For most people, yes, worn clean and at the right size. If you have an ear condition, a perforated eardrum or a history of ear infections, ask a doctor first. We are not qualified to answer that one for you.
Choosing
Which shape should I pick?
Start with Soft. It suits most people. Choose Deep if you like a firmer, more sealed feel, and Slim if earplugs usually feel too big. All three cost the same, so pick on fit rather than budget.
What if my partner needs a different size?
Buy the Couple's Kit and use a different tip on each side of the bed. The kit is two pairs and a case, not two of the same thing.
What is the difference between the two colours?
Nothing but the colour. Ink and Bone are the same silicone, the same shape and the same price.
Care and lifespan
How do I keep them clean?
Rinse with warm water, let them air dry fully, and store them in the case. No alcohol, no boiling, no dishwasher.
How long do they last?
Months of nightly use for most people. Replace them when the silicone stops springing back into shape, or if a tip tears. Tips are the part that wears, not the case.
Ordering
Do you ship outside the US?
The US and Canada for now. We would rather ship well to two countries than badly to twenty.
How long does delivery take?
Orders leave a US warehouse and tracking is emailed when the parcel goes out. Shipping within the US is free.
What if they do not work for me?
Then you send them back within 30 nights and we refund you. Ears are different and no plug suits everyone.
Health
Can I use them with tinnitus?
We cannot advise on that. Earplugs are not a treatment for tinnitus, and some people find quiet makes it more noticeable rather than less. Ask an audiologist, not a shop.
