No. Earplugs turn noise down, they do not switch it off. Snoring, traffic and voices sound softer and further away, which is often enough to stop them waking you. Very loud or deep sounds can still come through.

Yes, for most people. They make a partner's snoring softer, so it is less likely to wake you or keep you up. They will not make it silent. If the snoring is very loud or the snorer stops breathing in their sleep, they should see a doctor. Read more in earplugs for snoring.

Soft, flexible silicone. Silicone does not swell up in your ear like foam does, so it keeps the same shape all night and you can wash it and use it again.

Most likely, yes. Because the earplugs soften sound rather than blocking it, most alarms still get through. Every ear and every alarm is different, so set a test alarm on your first night. If you need to hear a baby or someone you care for, do not rely on earplugs.

They should not if the size is right. If earplugs usually work loose when you turn over, pick Wing. It has a soft fin that tucks into the fold of your ear and holds it in place. More in why your earplugs keep falling out.

They should not. If they press or ache, the tip is too big. Swap to the next size down and give it a full night. If they still do not feel right after a few nights, send them back.

Pull the top of your ear gently up and back with your other hand. Twist the earplug in until it feels snug but not tight, then let go of your ear. It should feel sealed, not pushed in deep. The how it works page shows each step.

Start with the medium tip. If it feels tight, go smaller. If sound gets in easily, go bigger. It is normal for your left and right ears to need different sizes. Wing, Grip and Rest come with more than one tip size.

A little strange, which is normal. Most people get used to the feeling after one or two nights. Give each tip size at least one full night before you decide.

Rinse them in warm water, let them dry fully in the air, then put them back in the case. Do not use soap, alcohol, boiling water or a dishwasher.

Hand wash it in cool water with a gentle soap, press the water out with a towel, and dry it flat. Do not put it in the washing machine or tumble dryer.

For most people, yes, as long as you keep them clean and use the right size. If you have an ear problem, a hole in your eardrum or get ear infections often, ask your doctor first. Read more in is it safe to wear earplugs every night.

Some people notice a bit more earwax when they wear earplugs often. Keep them clean, do not push them in deep, and never use them to clean your ears. If your ear feels blocked or sore, stop using them and see a doctor.

We cannot give advice on that. Earplugs are not a treatment for tinnitus, and some people find it easier to notice once outside sound is turned down. Please ask a doctor or audiologist.
